The course length iwill be approximately 9km. Race laps are meant as a guideline and will be adjusted according to conditions on the day to match British Cycling guidlines for race times.

Categories
The categories for the National Championships are as follows:
Elite and Expert category riders should enter the Elite category.
Senior/Sport riders will have their own Senior/Sport Open race. This race will still carry category C ranking points, but will also be open to non BC members. Senior/Sport riders can still race Elite, but will not be able to obtain ranking points.
Championship Categories:
Juvenile: From 12th birthday to 31st December year of 14th birthday
Youth: From 1st January year of 15th birthday to 31st December year of 16th birthday
Junior: From 1st January year of 17th birthday to 31st December year of 18th birthday
U-23: From 1st January year of 19th birthday to 31st December year of 22nd birthday (U23 Women's race may be combined with Elite Female)
Elite Male: From 1st January year of 23rd birthday to 31st December year of 29th birthday
Elite Female: From 1st January year of 23rd birthday to 31st December year of 29th birthday
Master: From 1st January year of 30th birthday to 31st December year of 39th birthday
Veteran: From 1st January year of 40th birthday to 31st December year of 49th birthday
Grand Veteran: From 1st January year of 50th to 31st december year of 59th birthday
Super Veteran: From 1st January year of 60th birthday onwards
The event will also run the following non championship categories:

Qualification:
National Championships are open to British Cycling members born in the United Kingdom and dependant Territories, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. If resident in another country they must hold a current United Kingdom passport and must not in the same year have competed in the National Championship of any other UCI affiliated National Federation. Competitors must also hold a full valid racing licence (i.e. not a provisional licence) showing the UCI prefix GBR and issued at least 28 days prior to the event (The closing date for all Championships is 28 days prior to the event).
Medal Allocations:
Medals shall be presented using the following criteria based on the number of competitors:
Senior/Junior Championships - 8 or more starters - 3 Medals & Winner's Jersey
Senior/Junior Championships - 6/7 starters - 2 Medals & Jersey
Senior/Junior Championships - 3-5 starters - 1 Medal & Jersey
Masters/Youth/Juvenile/Veteran - 5 or more starters - 3 Medals & Jersey
Masters/Youth/Juvenile/Veteran - 4 starters - 2 Medals & Jersey
Masters/Youth/Juvenile/Veteran - 3 starters - 1 Medal & Jersey
