Shimano 105 borrows technology from Ultegra 6500 and Dura Ace 7700 and is fully compatible with both. Features such as Hollowtech crankarms and Octalink splined bottom brackets are identical to Dura Ace and give Shimano 105 a fantastic performance to cost ratio.
