The Addict is designed for all-day comfort. By reshaping the seat tube and refining tube profiles, Scott have achieved 25% more compliance than the race-focused Addict RC and 50% more than the outgoing Addict.
By slimming down the seat tube just below the seat-stay junction, Scott unlocked more vertical compliance-allowing the seat tube to flex forward with the terrain. A refined and slimmer top tube adds further vertical compliance, while dropped seat stays flex outward to absorb vibrations and enhance overall ride smoothness.
Achieving the perfect balance between comfort and performance isn't an easy task. Through extensive simulations and in-house carbon layup expertise, Scott dialled in the exact amount of frame flex to smooth out road imperfections without ever feeling soft or bouncy.
The new Addict now accommodates up to 38mm tyres-unlocking a whole new level of comfort and control. With the ability to ride wider, lower-pressure tyres, you'll enjoy enhanced vibration damping on rough roads and confident grip through every corner.
Wider tyres don't just smooth the ride; they also deliver lower rolling resistance, helping you go further with less effort. On long, recreational rides, that means more smiles per kilometer. And when comfort and momentum matter most, the minimal aero loss is well worth the gain in efficiency and ride feel.
Scott made subtle but impactful tweaks to the Addict's geometry to elevate comfort and handling.
The bike is built for riders who spend long days on the saddle, with comfort a key consideration. Featuring a 5mm-higher stack and 5mm-shorter reach, the new Addict's relaxed geometry delivers a naturally upright riding position that feels effortless from the first kilometre to the last.
The Addict is designed so that riding with 0mm spacers on the new Addict gives you the same position as riding with 35mm spacers on the Addict RC-ensuring a more upright and enjoyable position.
Scott also fine-tuned the BB drop and fork rake to accommodate larger tyres without compromising performance. And to add a touch of playfulness and agility to every ride, Scott shortened the chainstays by 2mm. Small changes that make a big difference to the riding experience.
The Addict is available in two proven carbon layups. The HMF version strikes the perfect balance between lightweight construction, stiffness, and comfort, while the HMX version takes performance to the next level.
By using higher-modulus carbon fibres, material can be removed without compromising strength, resulting in an even lighter frame that maintains all the ride characteristics you expect.
The Addict is built for comfort-but make no mistake, this bike is anything but soft or blurry. With head tube and bottom-bracket stiffness at the same level as the Addict RC, it delivers confident, precise handling and high responsive power transfer.
Never get caught unprepared. Scott have seamlessly integrated a repair kit into the downtube near the bottom bracket. It's always there when you need it and invisible when you don't. No more tubes, tire levers or pumps in your jersey pocket.
When integrating the repair kit, Scott's goal was clear: include this essential feature without compromising performance. The added weight gain is minimal and, by positioning the kit low on the frame, we optimized the Addict's center of gravity for balanced and confident handling.
