The new Giant Defy Advanced Pro is here. Designed around the needs of Sportive and Gran Fondo riders the Defy is a composite engineering masterpiece which combines true endurance comfort with a lively and responsive ride.
Free of cumbersome gimmickry, the frameset is one of the lightest in its category. With a perfect balance of high-performance reactivity and all-day comfort, it offers a "less is more" experience for modern endurance road riding.
Engineered compliance - Advanced-grade composite frame and fork are specifically engineered for endurance road riding, delivering a smooth and efficient ride quality that minimises fatigue on long rides. The new D-Fuse components work together to further absorb road shocks and vibrations.
Total control - New Contact D-Fuse handlebar features ergonomic shaping and an 8-degree flare for comfort and control on all-day rides. Wide, hookless carbon rims (22.4mm inner width) are optimised for high-volume tubeless tyres (up to 38mm), and a 36mm rim depth offers stable, predictable handling in crosswinds.
The Defy Advanced Pro features an all-new Advanced-grade composite chassis which combines responsive efficiency with a calm, composed ride quality. The combination of a D-Fuse seatpost and handlebar, both featuring D-shaped tubing to better absorb shocks and vibrations, helps you stay smooth no matter how rough the road. The new Contact SL AeroLight stem has cleanly integrated cable routing. And the frame has clearance for high-volume tyres up to 38mm.
Please note: This model features tubeless ready wheels and tyres which offer a superior ride and less rolling resistance than traditional innertubes. This system requires tyre sealant to function correctly and this will be fitted in our workshop prior to despatch. The nature of this sealant means that the tyre may not be fully sealed until it has been ridden a short distance and therefore the bicycle may arrive with reduced pressure in the tyres. Please check the bicycle's tyres are inflated to the recommended pressure before cycling.
IMPORTANT: This bicycle is supplied without pedals. Pedals for this bicycle can be selected for no cost using Podium Points™.
