Credit & Debit Cards

Card payments are processed through the Opayo by Elavon (formerlly know as Sage Pay) Sagepay gateway.

We accept card payments by: Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro, Switch, Visa Debit. If you would like to pay by an alternative type of credit/debit card this can often be done through Paypal.

Our website, systems and partners are fully Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliant.

Our website uses the industry standard 3D secure card verifcation service (Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode). This means that after entering your card numbers you are then forwarded to your card issuer's website to verify you are the owner of the card, you may need to enter an online PIN number or respond to an authorisation request via your phone.

For most payments we will receive a preauthorised (deferred) payment which permits us to take the payment funds when we ship your goods. These funds will show as reserved in your bank/card account even though the funds will only pass to us on completion of your order.

For bikes with a future date (denoted as ETA - Month) we will receive a payment authentication. This verifies you as the card owner. No funds will be taken or reserved against your account until we ship your goods and settle the transaction. When we settle the transaction you may be sent a security message from your bank asking for payment authorisation.


We accept payment by Paypal.

Please take the time to verify your Paypal account, this will prevent any delays during security checks. When you select payment by Paypal you will be forwarded to Paypal to login to your account and then be returned to our website to select the shipping service. Please take the time to ensure the address data passed to us by Paypal is correct.

Because of the way Paypal payments are processed we will receive your funds immediately.

Please not, Paypal payments cannot be accepted for items collected in store.

Payment by Phone

With the exception of deposits, we do not accept payment by telephone. Accepting payments via the internet is both more secure and allows us to process your order more efficiently.

Fraud Prevention

In a few circumstances it maybe necessary to withhold your order because it has not passed basic security checks and has been marked as potentially fraudulent. We may ask you for additional information to help your order pass further checks. If you are unable to provide sufficient supporting documentation within 5 days we will cancel your order as a matter of course.

Basics to help reduce fraud and speed your purchase through security checks.
Credit/Debit cards: Please provide us with the correct card registered address in the "invoice" address field at checkout.
Credit/Debit cards: If your payment card is eligible for 3D secure (otherwise known as Verified by Visa or Mastercard Securecode) please use your online password to verify the payment. If your card is enrolled in the scheme but you haven't yet registered it, please do it before a criminal does it for you!
Paypal: Please verify your account with Paypal.

Why has my card transaction failed?

If your card transaction fails, please try again to double check the card numbers were correct. If the card numbers are correct then the two most common reasons for a card being rejected are:
1. Insufficient funds

2. An automatic fraud prevention action has been taken by your card issuer because your spending pattern looks unusual.

We recommend that you call your card issuer to ask why they have prevented your card transaction being completed.
