The Pedal On Store

The Pedal On Store

Pedal On is one of the country's leading enthusiast bike shops. We specialise in bikes and equipment for road, gravel, cross country, trail and cyclocross riding. With three decades of experience and a commitment to providing exceptional service, we believe we have something to offer almost all enthusiast cyclists.

A lot of people know us through our website but, at the heart of our business, is a fantastic store which is staffed by a team of cycling enthusiasts. Whether it’s on road or offroad; Whether it’s racing, touring, downhill, commuting, Audax or just plain riding for fun our staff’s knowledge and experience is key to understanding our customers’ needs.

With 250 bikes on display and thousands of accessories on offer we're one of the best stocked bike shops in the country. We are authorised dealers for Giant, Scott, Liv, Trek and Cadex bicycles and stock accessories and parts from World leading brands such as; Shimano, SRAM, Castelli, Endura, Syncros, Bontrager, Lazer, Park, Oakley, Topeak, Silca….plus too many more to mention.

Situated in Tadley, on the Hampshire/Berkshire border we're a little tucked away but easily accessible from Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke and also very close to the M3 and M4. If you've not heard of Tadley, our better known neighbour is the Atomic Weapons Establishment Aldermaston. We'd encourage everyone to visit our store to see it for yourself. There's no town centre traffic to contend with, there's lots of free parking and if you visit by bike we have courtesy locks for you too.

Our business is an Employee Owned Trust. This means the business is run for the benefit of our staff. We have no investors or corporate HQ to satisfy. Instead, we can focus on supplying our customers the right products for their needs, offering great value and being a great place to both shop and work.

Shop History

Shop History

Established in 1995, Pedal On has steadily grown in size and now occupies three retail units and has a thriving website that serves customers across the UK. The key to our growth and success has been our staff. Their passion, knowledge, experience and care are what gives our customers positive experiences. More recently, Pedal On has become an Employee Owned Trust meaning our staff are ultimately the beneficiaries of their hard work.

Many years ago, we wrote a mission statement centred on the core values of quality, value and innovation. We wanted to become the country's leading supplier for enthusiast cyclists and to be a great place for our staff to work. Those values and goals still guide us today. Hopefully, this is reflected in the generous reviews that our customers have left us. Of course, sometimes things do go wrong and mistakes happen but, if they do, we'll always put it right without hesitation or delay.

In a World of concept and brand stores we're proud to be independent. Whilst we have exceptional relationships with all of our suppliers and brands our independence allows us to cater every aspect of our business to our customers' needs. There are no downsides to this as the after sales and warranty support we can give you isn't reduced through being independent.
